There has been much discussion in the podosphere about the formation of an organization for Online Media Producers. I’ve recently participated in a survey on the venture, so I share the information below to help you decide whether YOU wish to participate.

In the last few weeks, there’s been some controversy over Susan Bratton’s decision to form the ADM (Association for Downloadable Media- ed). Nearly 80 podcasters have contacted me since then to express interest in forming a separate association that will represent podcasters, bloggers and new media producers.
To help determine what course of action the community should take, the steering committee of the Association of Podcasters and Online Media Producers (A working title) have decided to publish this survey.
If you’d like to participate, you can take the survey here. It is designed for New Media producers, so if you are a listener you may find it much ado about nothing.

You spend years trying to prevent our children from choking on the crap they shove indiscriminately in their mouths. Then you go out and do this:
Hip-hop fan Bobby Tedesco, 7, from Sanford, Florida, was delighted when his mum brought home a £5 ($10) grill for him from a local car-boot sale. Tedesco placed the grill over his teeth and proudly showed it off in photos. Tedesco’s expression, however, soon changed when the grill fell out off his teeth and he started choking on it. His mother, Dawn Tedesco, attempted to clear his throat, but he swallowed the grill. He was raced to hospital but doctors said there was little they could do, adding there was only one way out for the metal device.
Duh. All who DIDN’T see this coming, raise your hands. That’s gonna hurt more coming out than going in.
